Support for young people

Indigo Junction’s Youth Service supports young people aged 15–25. We can also work with younger people by special arrangement with the Department of Communities.

Young people living in our crisis or transitional housing are connected with skilled, experienced Youth Workers who provide tailored, one-on-one support:

Together, we work with each young person to:

  • Develop personalised goals and housing pathway plans
  • Connect with education, training and employment opportunities
  • Teach practical independent living skills, including budgeting, cooking, cleaning
  • Strengthen confidence, relationships and personal care skills
  • Support positive physical and mental health strategies
  • Build connections with peers, community networks and specialist services.
  • Address individual needs and challenges identified by the young person

Indigo Junction also offers a one-on-one drug education program, supporting young people to build knowledge and skills to reduce the risks and harms associated with drug use.
