Young Families Program

Up to 5 young families at a time can stay in self-contained units at indigo Junction’s Family Service.

An on-site support worker is available during the day and evening, providing guidance in a safe and supportive environment.

Eligible young parents (under 25) are supported to:

  • Develop independent living skills
  • Build parenting capacity and confidence
  • Manage their tenancy successfully
  • Strengthen support networks and community connections

Transitional Housing Program

Indigo Junction provides community-based properties for eligible families of all ages and structures.

These homes provide safe and affordable housing to families who need time to heal and rebuild after homelessness or crisis.

Families receive intensive case management and are supported to:

  • Build independent living and tenancy skills
  • Develop goals and long-term housing plans
  • Strengthen community connections
  • Access relevant services and supports

Kwobidak Moort (Strong Fathers) Program

The Kwobidak Moort (Strong Fathers) Program is an evidence-based initiative supporting fathers of Aboriginal children aged 0-18 years.

The program empowers fathers to strengthen their role within their families and communities by:

  • Building positive relationships with their children
  • Developing support networks
  • Accessing advocacy and referral pathways

This program is delivered by Aboriginal staff in a culturally safe, accessible and high-quality environment.


CLAN Midland Programs

CLAN Midland programs are now part of Indigo Junction’s Family Service, expanding the support available to families.


FAST – Family and Schools Together

A program designed for the whole family to connect through shared meals and structured activities that strengthen parent-child relationships, build peer connections, and foster community engagement.

  • KidsFAST – For parents and primary school-aged children
  • BabyFAST – For young parents (under 24) with children aged 0-3 and their grandparents
  • Early Years FAST – For parents with children aged 0-3

EPEC – Empowering Parents Empowering Communities 

An 8-week Being a Parent program, facilitated by parents for parents.

This program encourages parents to connect, share experiences, and seek support from one another in a welcoming, peer-led environment.


Community Links Project 

Supports individuals to use their talents, skills and knowledge to create community-led projects, groups and initiatives that strengthen local connection and wellbeing.


Read Play Grow 

Supports parents of children aged 0–3 years to build confidence as their child’s first teacher, focusing on simple, everyday activities that support early development.


Paint the Swan REaD

An early literacy campaign – part of a national collective – encouraging communities to prioritise literacy in the early years of a child’s life.


Happy Healthy Families 

An 8-week program supporting families to transition from processed and packaged foods to whole foods, building knowledge and skills to provide nutritious meals and support long-term health.
