On Tuesday the 4th of February 2025, Indigo Junction CEO Sharon Gough appeared in The West Australian newspaper alongside Shelter WA CEO Kath Snell.

It was published ahead of the 2025 Election Forum on Housing and Homelessness. Hosted by Shelter WA, the event brought together representatives from the 4 key state political parties in a moderated discussion about how each candidate plans to tackle WA’s homelessness and housing crisis.

In the article, Sharon discusses the pressure homelessness services are under to meet the high demand of vulnerable people seeking support and praises recent funding efforts by the State Government.

“For the first time, it feels like we are sharing the problem.”

They’re listening and working through solutions collaboratively.”
