We encourage community members who are struggling or in crisis to visit our Engagement Hubs during opening hours to find out about the support services on offer.

We deliver a range of services that address current and emerging needs in the community. Through the Karnany and Karlup Engagement Hubs, Indigo Junction supports street-present people and those directly affected by crises by providing access to safe, professional, and culturally secure spaces and services.

Our engagement hubs have been designed to be calm, welcoming and culturally secure spaces. Our frontline staff have been trained in delivering professional, caring services and have experience working with highly vulnerable people who may have complex needs.

Hours: Monday-Friday 9-4 (closed 12pm – 1pm)

Karnany Engagement Hub is an open-door service for street present people and those directly affected by crises. It offers a safe place for clients to share their story. An integrated service hub, Karnany delivers a range of complementary services and is home to Indigo Junction’s Money Hub. Karnany also provides a base for external outreach services including AOD counselling, the Street Doctor, Centrelink and Orange Sky Laundry.

Indigo Junction’s Money Hub supports people most at risk of financial disadvantage and exclusion by providing financial counselling, financial education and emergency relief assistance. Our staff provide immediate basic needs and essential supplies in time of crisis, delivering services in a way that maintains the dignity of individuals and families. The service aims to improve financial capability by supporting people to make informed choices that address their financial difficulties and build their capacity to manage money.

Homeless Engagement, Assessment Response Team (HEART)

The Homeless Engagement, Assessment Response Team (HEART) outreach model connects people who are homeless and sleeping rough to basic and immediate needs, short term case management, triage and By Name List housing access.  The HEART team is co-located within the accessible, well known and culturally safe Karnany Engagement Hub building. HEART has been highly successful in addressing the needs of rough sleepers and supporting their access to safe, affordable housing options.
