Housing Support Program NPAH
The Housing Support Program assists people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. The program supports families and single people to secure and maintain long-term, stable accommodation. This support is offered for a minimum of 12 months.
People accessing the program will be allocated a Housing Support Worker, and together they will create a long-term housing plan. Once the ideal type of housing has been identified the Housing Support Worker supports the person to develop the skills and capacity to live independently.
Types of support include dealing with housing organisations, finding a safe place to stay until long term housing can be sourced, helping to move and set up a home and support to link to schools, recreation and social activities.
People are also supported to access services that address a range of issues including mental health, addiction, physical health, financial management and employment.
There are restrictions on the number of people we are able to assist through this program.
