Ron Mell serves as a Board Director for Indigo Junction, bringing extensive leadership experience across the for-purpose, community services and financial sectors.
Through both professional and voluntary roles, Ron has dedicated his career to strengthening organisations that create positive futures for people experiencing disadvantage.
Before transitioning into the for-purpose sector, Ron was the principal of a CPA practice. He later held significant executive leadership positions within the YMCA, including CEO of YMCA Perth, National CEO of YMCA Australia, and CEO of YMCA Northern Territory until 2020. He has continued his involvement through various Board and governance roles within the organisation.
Ron joined Indigo Junction as a Board Director in 2017 and served as Board Chair from 2019 to 2025. He is also a founding and current director of Karlup Aboriginal Corporation.
He is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and holds a Graduate Diploma in Social Impact Measurement.
