Support for families

Families staying with Indigo Junction benefit from a wide range of in-house and co-located support and educational opportunities.

Our Case Managers and Support Workers advocate for long-term, secure housing and bring experience in child development, childcare and family support. They work alongside families to build the skills, confidence and capacity needed to build a more stable future.

Grounded in trauma-informed care, our team builds supportive, trusting relationships and assists families with:

  • Tailored goal plans to meet the needs of each individual family member
  • Housing and tenancy education
  • Developing parenting and independent living skills
  • Strengthening community connections
  • Referrals to relevant service providers

In addition to dedicated case management, we can connect families with accessible services such as:

  • Financial counselling and education
  • Men’s and women’s art and cultural groups
  • Parenting support programs
  • Adult literacy support

Kwobidak Moort (Strong Fathers) Program

We also offer targeted programs such as the Kwobidak Moort (Strong Fathers) Program, which supports fathers of Aboriginal children to build strong relationships, strengthen family wellbeing and connect with community. Learn more about our Family Programs here.
